temples – an endangered entity?

First of all, the government has put tax on the temple revenues. What has the government done to build a temple, that gives it a right over the personal donations of devotees to the temples? Why this taxation only on Hindu places of worship and not on Mosques and churches?

Second, the government has mindlessly used the collected tax money, without any consideration from the respective temple authorities. When I donate money to a temple, its because of the peace I receive from that temple’s activities, and its with the wish that such activities grow. A part of it could be used for other social welfare projects, which could include benefits of other religions also. However, the so called secular government has disproportionately used the temple revenue for other religions, when no good has been done by those religions to the devotees who have given these donations. Here are few of the facts:-

When a hindu raises voice for benefit of hindus without causing any harm to other religions, it is considered hindu fundamentalism. When the government does minority appeasement for vote bank politics, harming the interests of hindus, its called secularism?

The ground reality is that in Andra Pradesh alone, 28000 out of 36000 temples have been shut down because of lack of funds.

When the constitution provides equal rights to all citizens irrespective of religion, the control of Governement over Hindu places of worship are totally illegal,  and certainly not secular.

  2. @ Indian :-
This shows that you don’t even follow the links given in the article. And if you don’t believe it, go to Chief Ministers office in Karnataka, call on the number given. If you don’t believe something doesn’t mean its not true.

  3. here is an example of the aryan invasion. yesterday i went to the meenakshi temple in madurai. i had been there before but i happend to see it yesterday only . we all know that madurai is a oldest city in tamilnadu. and the temple is centuries old. after the dharshan of sokkanathar (lord shiva) i came across a lingam which had its basement and the linga seperated . near that a board was kept it said in 1330 the muhammads invaded south india. the then pandia king had fled away. the administrators of the temple were desperate to save the temple and the lords from being damaged . so they built huge domes around the graha sthans and covered with sand making it look like sand dune. instead of the original lingam they had kept a dummy lingam as the lord. the ravagers came and broke the dummy.and took over the throne. the lords were buried under for 48 long years till the muhammads were ousted . there were no poojas nor any hindu worshipping happened for the whole period. still u can see the damaged lingam in the prakara of sokka nathar temple. this is an example of the outregeousness of the muslims.

    • @ guga:-
Thanks for this on sight information! Its unfortunate fact, and this is just one of many many temples that got destroyed by Mughals.
Mughals of the past used weapons like swords and canons. now the muslim fundamentalists use the bombs and machine guns. we need atleast a 100 Shivajis now.

    • @Guga
India and Hinduism has suffered and suffering thousands of onslaughts like this one.BTW Aryan Invasion is a theory devised by the Max Mueller, used by British to divide and rule India.
This theory says that Aryans are migrants and Dravidians are natives of India.Aryans upon their arrival to India drove out the Dravidians from North to South. In other words, North Indians and Brahmins are Aryans and South Indians are Dravidians. This theory has been proven false recently by scientific methods.Still we are studying the false Aryan Invasion theory in our schools.Present day, pro christianity historians/Secularists(Read Sonia & Co, the Opus Dei Agents) don’t bother to rewrite this false propoganda which was/is being used by the Missionaries to achieve their aim.
